Bay to Breakers 2009

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

The 98-year old ING Bay to Breakers 12K is one of the world’s largest and oldest footraces with 65,000+ participants and 100,000+ spectators annually, is held annually in San Francisco, CA. The name reflects the traditional course which runs from the northeast end of the downtown area (the “bay”) to the west end of the city and the “breakers” of Ocean Beach. It features world-class athletes in addition to costumed runners and ‘fun-loving’ folks out for a great day of running and walking through San Francisco. A testament to San Francisco’s uniqueness and audacity. Each year, the race is a glorious celebration of the human spirit – a giant wave of athleticism, fun, frivolity, and determination.
