Their sister site clipmarks.com is shutting down as well. Forbes acquired Clipmarks a couple years ago and created a spin off of the site as Amplify.com. Amplify introduced me to the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/hackmanj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Hackman<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/flapic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flavio<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/louisgray\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Louis Gray<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/svartling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stefan Svartling<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/JayGilmore\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jay Gilmore<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/DannyBrown\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Danny Brown<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/Paisano\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paisano<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/krynsky\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Krynsky<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/daveyank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dave Yank<\/a> and many others who I still follow on other social sites. As Amplify saw competition from micro-blogs like Posterous and Tumblr, and then later Google Plus and now Pinterest, the community slowly died off.
