Looking forward to the "route preview" on the fit blog! I also like the idea of a 90x90 static thumbnail of the route on facebook which links to the route page. Another option for the facebook post would be to have the actual route pop up in a flash object: If you specify both expanded_width and expanded_height in the array, when the user clicks on the Flash object, it will resize to the specified size

Hi Mitchell, We're making some changes right now that will add a route preview to the route used in each fitblog post. (see the screenshot) Unfortunately, Facebook limits the image size that can be attached to wall posts to 90px by 90px. See here: http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/i... One option we have is to attach a 90x90 static thumbnail of the route, which links to the route page.

I think it would be awesome if when you posted to Facebook it embedded a little screenshot of the map of the route you took. It would give a better understanding of where and just how far they ran. I've added an image of what this might look like below. I would also be nice if the map was embedded in your FriendFit fitness blog post as well!

As with joining any new social network, it's important to figure out which of your friends are already on there. It would be nice to have the ability to import your contacts from other social networks. Often these networks provide an API to access their contact lists, and many other networks (such as Friendfeed, LinkedIn, etc.) have a similar feature to import contacts from Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, etc.

As well, support for Hotmail, Yahoo, etc could come later.

Would be nice if there was an option in settings to choose whether the twipic.com link goes before the comment or after.

In another thread it was stated that "The reason the link is first in the message is because we have no way of controlling how many characters someone will send in as the photo caption" - but if you know the link is gonna be at least 25 characters, truncate the caption off at 115 (twitter's 140 - 25) and add the link.

Other threads have noted this problem too:

Thanks for the quick reply Adam (it says a lot about Linkedin's customer service)! Those are two good points to keep the #in, however it would be nice to have the option to turn it off much like the many applications that sync your twitter status to Facebook allow the option to remove #fb — Mitchell McKenna 4 minutes

The purpose of the #in is to tell LinkedIn to sync this tweet as a Linkedin status update, there's no need to actually include the #in in the status update.

Since tweets sent out with the new RT feature can potentially enable the tweet to be more than 140 characters, they are getting chopped off in the RSS feeds.

This is a problem for twitter apps that run on RSS feeds! Is this going to be fixed Twitter?

Apparently this is fixed in Adobe Air 2.0, but if your using Ubuntu and Adobe Air 1.5, this is what I did... I created a shell script called tweetdeck.sh in my home directory the contents of the file are: “export GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID=Default && /opt/TweetDeck/bin/TweetDeck” i then made it executable: chmod a+x tweetdeck.sh finally i changed the launcher command to /home/username/tweetdeck.sh and re-added the nifty icon under the launcher properties
