When Adobe Illustrator first shipped in 1987, it was the first software application for a young company that had, until then, focused solely on Adobe PostScript. The new product not only altered Adobe’s course, it changed drawing and graphic design forever. Watch the Illustrator story unfold, from its beginning as Adobe’s first software product, to its role in the digital publishing revolution, to becoming an essential tool for designers worldwide. Interviews include cofounder John Warnock, his wife Marva, artists and designers Ron Chan, Bert Monroy, Dylan Roscover and Jessica Hische.

Adobe Project Parfait - Get CSS out of a PSD http://mitchmckenna.com/post/14418/adobe-project-parfait-get-css-out-of-a-psd

Get a lot of comps from designers in PSD? Then have to either install Photoshop and look up sizes to implement it or just guess? This pretty neat tool from the creators of that format, allows you to easy get those values out of a PSD all online, even converts the objects to css (eg. the font-family to use, etc).

Fotoshop by Adobé http://mitchmckenna.com/post/10667/fotoshop-by-adobe

Up watching television on a sleepless night, Jesse Rosten came across an infomercial which inspired the idea for his spoof beauty product, Fotoshop by Adobé. Poking fun at beauty ads with an introduction citing the product as the next revolution in beauty.

This commercial isn't real, neither are society's standards of beauty.

From retouching to completely reimagining an image, here's an early glimpse of what could happen in the future when you press the delete key.

Sneak peek of new Adobe Photoshop CS5 technologies http://mitchmckenna.com/post/5800/sneak-peek-of-new-adobe-photoshop-cs5-technologies-wwwcs5org

The video shows a selection of features that are being developed by Photoshop Labs, including Painter-style brushes, a new warp tool and more. Do you see the 3D elements that have been thrown in? The wire frame, the joints (the kinematics!), the simulation of a paint brush's tip... it's really quite crazy.

From what we can see in the video, Nexus One’s powerful Snapdragon CPU handles Flash with ease. Check out the video below.
