The 12 basic principles of animation were developed by the 'old men' of Walt Disney Studios, amongst them Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, during the 1930s. Of course they weren't old men at the time, but young men who were at the forefront of exciting discoveries that were contributing to the development of a new art form. These principles came as a result of reflection about their practice and through Disney's desire to use animation to express character and personality. Seems like there's been a lot of DBZ related videos lately, with Stop Motion video and Live Action Trailer, now this.

The animation is all done by one guy Mellivelli on youtube. Episode length is 14:28 which is nearly as long as a regular episode of DBZ. Pretty impressive, I can imagine how much of free time a single episode would take by yourself, then getting people for voices.

I've been watching these guys put out episodes for over a year now, I'm kind of surprised they haven't racked more views (the animation is top notch), but I suspect they'll be blowing up pretty soon. They've now compiled their first twelve 5-minute episodes into 35 minutes of action packed, whisky induced entertainment.
