Robbie Tilton (check out his website - awesome design) created this cool video that looks like it's straight out of Minority Report or Iron Man using three.js and Leap Motion.

Using threejs I created a 3D scene and rendered four unique camera angles to reflect off of a plexi glass prism. It creates the illusion of a 3Dimensional volumetric display in it's most crude state. I also attached my Leap Motion to start controlling the globe with a simple point of the finger.

Google Glass - How It Feels http://mitchmckenna.com/post/12532/how-it-feels-through-glass

Google released a new video of Google Glass, which shows off some of the key features they plan to have on it when it launches. It says that "All video footage captured through Glass.", but it's unclear how much of Glass itself is just CGI. Watch Project Glass - One Day if you haven't already.

Want to see how Glass actually feels? It's surprisingly simple. Say "take a picture" to take a picture. Record what you see, hands free. Even share what you see, live. Directions are right in front of you. Speak to send a message, or translate your voice. Get the notifications that matter most. Ask whatever's on your mind and get answers without having to ask. Google Project Glass - Concept Video http://mitchmckenna.com/post/10990/project-glass-one-day

Google gives a sneak peak at its Project Glass plans; glasses which present visual information in front of your eyes, such as the temperature outside, time, and even messages from friends. The video shows how they envision we'll do many of the tasks we currently do on our phone, in the future. The hope is that by having this information projected where we'd be looking anyway, we won't have to be looking down at our phones all the time and missing out on experiences.

There's even some things in the video I wish our phones currently did, like auto-detecting when your at one of your favorite locations and prompting you if you'd like to check-in. That said, there's lots in the video that we haven't quite gotten right yet, even with the likes of Siri, that could obviously be magnified be having it into our line of sight such as annoying notifications and bad voice-to-text. I digress though, in the video demonstration, it looks pretty damn cool.
