One Laptop Per Child project founder Nicholas Negroponte said that the organization is accelerating its development of the XO-3 tablet computer and will have a working prototype by December 2010, two years ahead of projections. Negroponte said the final product would cost US$75.

No, Steve Ballmer didn't automatically pick up the MacBook and go into a furious rage when he was asked to sign a MacBook Pro for a fan. Surprisingly, he smiles, grabs a pen, and calmly signs the laptop.

Here's one possible scenario that didn't happen: "Steve would fly into a blind fury, grabbing the laptop and smashing it against a far wall with the force of ten men, laughing as the computer shattered and sparked out of existence."

Samsung's 14-inch transparent OLED laptop from CES 2010. One of the reasons why OLED technology is cool is the fact that you can create a semi-transparent OLED screen. We’re not quite sure how useful this technology really is, except for looking through your laptop when everyone thinks you’re looking at it, but imagining a future with a bunch of semi-transparent gadgetry around us somehow fills us with glee. Samsung has decided to take a step into the future, creating a 14-inch notebook prototype with a semi-transparent screen.
