"RecordMyDesktop solves the screencasting problem Linux users have faced for a long time. RecordMyDesktop creates high quality recordings of your screen with or without sound. While it is a terminal application, when paired with gtk-recordMyDesktop, a graphical frontend for recordMyDesktop, recordMyDesktop becomes a robust tool for easily creating screencasts. RecordMyDesktop can be tweaked to your heart's content by changing the sound and video quality, frames captured per second, mouse cursor style, compression, and whether to record the current window or the entire desktop."

PicPick | Robust Free Screen Capture App for Windows http://mitchmckenna.com/post/7108/picpick-robust-free-screen-capture-app-for-windows

I was looking for a screen capture app for Windows kind of like Shutter for Ubuntu. I tried Screenpresso at first, but @sl4cker on Friendfeed suggested I try PicPick.

This probably one of the most robust free screen capture programs I've come across. Share to FTP, E-mail, Facebook and twitter. Standard drawing, shapes, arrows, lines, text, and etc. Blur, sharpen, hue, contrast, brightness, pixelate, rotate, flip, frame effect and etc. There's also a portable version available as well!

Screenpresso | Free Screen Capture App for Windows http://mitchmckenna.com/post/7084/screenpresso-free-screen-capture-app-for-windows

I had been looking for something like this for a while. There's a lot out there, but I want something kind of like Shutter for Ubuntu. This one's got some nice editor features built in, and ability to share to twitter. Only thing I'm missing from Shutter is ability to upload to another image host such as ImageShack or something.

Capture any webpage: Just add Aviary.com/ in front of the URL! http://mitchmckenna.com/post/3195/capture-any-webpage-just-add-aviarycom-in-front-of-the-url

"You can capture any webpage at all, from any browser, by simply putting Aviary.com/ in front of the URL! For example, say you want to capture Google's homepage: Just change http://www.google.com to Aviary.com/http://google.com. Dead. Simple."
