The world's first action film shot 100% from the hero's perspective. Very cool.

Like several of the previous Halo game launches, Microsoft has released an intense cinematic real-life trailer at e3 2012 for the upcoming Halo 4 video game. They also showed off a campaign video with a new enemy, and a multiplayer video showing off some of the new features such as War Games and Spartan Ops (with weekly tv-like episodes).

Being a big fan for the Max Payne franchise, I was even more excited about the upcoming Max Payne 3 when I found out it was going to have Multiplayer. I was skeptical of how they'd implement Max's signature Bullet Time® but it looks like they've figured it out. Much like the campaign it's in third-person perspective, so the game mechanics are kind of like Gears of War. I also like how they have brought Max and his partner into the multiplayer. Hard to believe it's only a month away now, May 2012.

It seems like a conversation you have as a kid at the lunch table "What if Santa, the Easter Bunny, The Sandman, Jack Frost and the Tooth Fairy were super heroes?! And they had to fight the Boogieman?!", only it looks like this conversation happened among adults and pitched it for a movie. They wrapped up some big names for the parts; Chris Pine, Isla Fisher, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Jude Law and Dakota Goyo. It's a pretty neat twist on childhood stories, and the trailer for the animated movie looks pretty awesome.

The prequel to one of the greatest trilogies... ever, and one of my favorite movies of all time. I can't wait.

The Hobbit: An Unexplected Journey follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Behold the birth of the first Avenger in this first full-length trailer! Captain America: The First Avenger will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving.)

I gotta say, I was surprised when I came across this trailer of the sequel to E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. I almost got a couple minutes in before I realized it's a fan-made trailer. Some great editing offers the one sequel we wouldn't mind seeing. "ET-X" splices footage of Drew Barrymore and Henry Thomas in different films with some amazing CGI of an older, wiser-looking ET, who is back to save the earth from evil aliens. Cameos from the Jonas Brothers, Morgan Freeman and David Morse ensue, along with hijinks, naturally.
