One of the more exciting aspects of Ubuntu 10.10 is undoubtedly the Unity shell in Ubuntu Netbook Edition and the uTouch touch screen capabilities bundled with it. The new gestures library allows finger combinations to do cool things like expand and reduce windows, pull up multiple windows in one workspace, and call up the dashboard automatically. These are in 10.10. In 11.04 we will see a lot more. You can read more about this on the Canonical Blog. Here it is folks, the Apple iPad. Pos: Screen is gorgeous, damn fast, super thin, just $499. Neg: No multitasking means no music while surfing, no camera means no video conference, no Flash, only iphone/ipad apps.

Kohjinsha's dual 10.1 Netbook: It's slightly thicker than a normal netbook, but the insides are pretty much the same: Windows 7, 1.6GHz AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor, maximum 4GB RAM, and 160GB hard disk. How battery life would be affected remains to be seen.
