Wow, it sounds like iPad is really leading the social magazine category, I didn't even know about half of these because I don't have any iOS devices. I expect those apps which find success on the iPad will release an android app soon. With all these apps trying to find the right algorithm to surface stories you'll care about, it'll be the one that can that magic algorithm AND let the user understand why it did surface a story/ let you tweak it so the app can learn what you like (all in a simple interface) that will win.
