This Glass Chip Could Store Your Data Forever

Crazy to think we might be using glass to store our portable storage in a couple years.

Japanese tech-giant Hitachi says it developed a way for glass to store data forever. Its prototype is a small shard made up of four layers of glass. Each layer has dots that store data. The chip itself is said to last forever.
