St. George's Spirits - Absinthe

Yesterday I visited the St. George's Distillery in Alameda with a bunch of friends. Learned a lot about the process of making Vokda, Whisky and Absinthe. Our tour guide was hilarious, and afterwards we to sample a bunch of their favorite products. Below is in an interesting video from their founder (who we heard some pretty entertaining stories about on the tour).

It's very simple: alcohol, wormwood, and some anise characteristics. But not simple at all: The carefully calibrated mix of aromatics and herbs that goes into the absinthe made by Lance Winters of St. George Spirits took extensive testing to get just right.
