MAG 7.0 earthquake off Haitian coast brings down buildings, bodies trapped in rubble and many fatalities likely. USA has offered assistance if requested. Although the tsunami alert was sounded and later cancelled, It brings little comfort that there was no danger of a tsunami to cause additional damage and deaths to the destruction from the earthquake.
