This wistful quote from Stephen Alesch speaks volumes of the spaces he and Robin Standefer create as architects. Their firm Roman & Williams, named after their grandparents. As a team they create buildings/interiors that reveres craft and tradition, combining contemporary viewpoint. This unique vision has lead projects including Ace Hotel, The Standard Hotel, and 211 Elizabeth.
