This documentary is a love poem to a place, an exploration of a people. The Telling is a documentary that simply listens and looks at a landscape and its inhabitants. Some of the best stories come from one's own back yard. The Telling is a tale of a place that is unique, yet it is a tale that people around the world can relate to. Neighbours, friends, lovers, artists, business executives, farmers, fishermen, newcomers, seniors, children... who are the people in the place you live?
